The fascinating world of the deep is different from the natural environment of man. But you can get to know it in an exciting but safe way, through scuba diving! It is truly a unique experience that allows you to find yourself in a world full of colours and enchanting images. It is a sport that will excite you and at the same time teach you a lot about the environment and the attitude we should have towards it. Many sport lovers visit Pelion for the unique diving attractions as there are many shipwrecks and rich marine life that will enchant even the most demanding diver. Pelion has a total of 3 dive sites where you can either just do a dive or get top diplomas. The diving attractions are in the Pagasitikos Gulf, the northern Euboean and the Aegean Sea.
So if you are eager to find out what lies beneath the surface of the sea, all you have to do is contact one of the following schools.

Scuba diving

More specifically in Pagasitikos Gulf you can visit

– Pagania (reef with rich marine life from 13-30 meters)
– Alatash I
– Alatash II
– Teeth
– Gorge
– Twin caves
– Prasuda
– Bora. (16-metre kayak at 23 metres)

In the northern Euboeikos:
– Lighthouse (lighthouse built in 1864 by the French Lighthouse Company)
– Shipwreck “Kali Tychi” ship built in 1917, 36 meters long and located at a depth of 17 meters
– Cave of Electra at a depth of 40 meters. (exclusively for experienced divers)
– Agia Vaso
– The deep of Agios Vasos
– Argyronisos (remains of a German pursuit shipwreck from World War II)

In the Aegean Sea
– Reef “Lefteris” a reef that according to Thucydides was the reason for the sinking of three Persian triremes.
– Shipwreck “Vera” (ship built in 1956, 58 meters long and located at a depth of 25 meters)
– Wreck “Volos” (ship built in 1902, 85 meters long and located at a depth of 35-64 meters)
