Fakistra

On the eastern slopes of Pelion and at a distance of about 56 km from Volos, lies the isolated and small beach of Fakistra. It is just below Tsagarada and to get there you have to walk about 200 meters downhill on the path that exists there, around the wild natural beauty landscape. Going down to this unorganized beach, you will discover a beautiful chapel in the rock, which the locals call a “hidden school” as it was functioning during the Turkish occupation. You can also admire a beautiful waterfall just behind the beach. As we said, Fakistra is completely unorganized, so if you go you should definitely bring plenty of water with you as well as umbrellas for your shade.
