Damouchari

Damouchari is a very attractive and peaceful little natural port, 59 km from Volos and, as yet, rather unspoilt by tourism. It has no tourist facilities whatsoever. It is accessible either by boat from Ayannis and Milopotamos or on foot either from Tsagarada or via the Mouressio hillside. At Damouchari you can enjoy the view to the north cove -a little port with a few small boats- and have a swim in the south part of the all white shingle beach. The two coves are separated by a massive piece of rock on top of which rest the ruins of a medieval castle. Damouchari beach is ideal for snorkeling and quite a few free campers seize the opportunity to set up camp next to the torrent, behind the little wooden bridge.
